IELTS Reading True, False, Not Given
True / False / Not Given (TFNG) is one of the hardest IELTS Reading question types. Centres assign Academic Reading passages with TFNG blocks inside full timed mocks on mymockexam.uz.
TRUE — fully supported by the passage
Every element of the statement must be confirmed, often via paraphrase. Partial matches are not TRUE.
FALSE — contradicted by the passage
The text states the opposite or incompatible information. 'Most' in the passage does not support 'all' in the statement.
NOT GIVEN — no evidence either way
If you cannot prove true or false from the text alone, choose NOT GIVEN. Outside knowledge does not count.
