How to prepare for IELTS while working full-time

You don't need 6 hours daily — you need consistent 90-minute blocks.

The 90-minute daily block

Before or after work: 30 min Listening, 30 min Reading, 30 min Writing OR Speaking (alternate days). Consistency beats weekend cramming.

Weekends for full mocks

One full mock every two weeks on Saturday morning — treat it as an appointment. Review errors Saturday afternoon. Sunday: rest or light vocabulary.

Use commute time

Podcasts for Listening. Flashcard apps for vocabulary. Record Speaking Part 2 answers on your phone during lunch breaks.

Book the test to create accountability

Working professionals procrastinate without a deadline. Book the official test 8–10 weeks out — it forces a schedule your mocks can track.
