Paraphrase is the core skill

Questions rarely use the same words as the audio. Train yourself to match meaning — 'cost' in the question might be 'fee' or 'price' in the recording.

Map questions before maps appear

For map labelling, orient yourself to the starting point mentioned in the introduction. Track left/right and across from as the speaker walks through.

Section 4 note-taking

Band 9 candidates jot structure — main topic, two sub-points, example — not every word. Lecture questions follow the talk's logical flow.
